Kathryn LauVa Wallace
Kathryn Wallace is an autistic artist from Oakdale who has been exploring her creativity through several different mediums since elementary school. After being taught how to sew a basic pillow case and skirt by her aunt, she took a sewing class in high school and has been making outfits and costumes ever since. She started attending Minneapolis College in the fall of 2017 and is looking forward to operating her own business making outfits for ball jointed dolls and their owners using the skills she has learned through completing the Apparel Technologies program. Her most notable achievement is that she was a finalist in the 2012 Modcloth Make The Cut: Swatch It Up contest for sketching up a design centered around a houndstooth pattern.
